Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Tejal Suvarna, & I’m very glad to have you here.
I am a professionally trained jewellery designed & gemologist and found my true calling in food, art & travel, & started my culinary journey back in 2006.
After receiving fantastic feedback for the food I’d serve at parties, I took this up professionally, launching my brand Tejal Suvarna’s Kitchen. Cooking & baking classes, customised cake designing & homemade preservative-free delicacies like artisanal jams, pickles, preserves & kombucha are just some of the things that I do! My artisanal pickles have a massive fan following among the Indian diaspora in South Africa, U.K, Dubai & Australia, to name a few.
I love to travel & explore new destinations, and upgrade my culinary skills wherever possible. I’ve also honed my cake decorating skills & French patisserie under renowned chefs like Chef Gilles Maisonneuve (France), Chef Kevin Chua (Malaysia), Chef Molly Coppini (Italy ), Chef Clement from Srilanka, Chef Ashley Spencer (UK) & Chef Priya Maclure (Australia) among others.
I hail from a Mangalorean family, and I am extremely proud of my heritage & culture that celebrates life through food. Through my private Home Dining events. I’ve also hosted many dining events as a guest chef in Mumbai and many other Indian cities, which I aim at spreading to people of different states as well in the near future.
